I have been playing, writing, and recording music since I was a mere amoeba - or, at least since I was middle school. I grew up playing bass, guitar, drums, and synths in various bands, and have been recording and mixing in DAWs for over 10 years. A few years back I graduated from audio engineering school in NYC, and then spent some time working at EastSide Sound Studio in lower Manhattan.
I entered the HiFi scene with the mindset of an audio engineer - an analytical curiosity that I keep with me in all of my writings. I have written too many headphone, IEM, DAC and amplifier reviews to count, which have been published on MajorHiFi and Audio46. I also write an eclectic variety of explainer pieces on various audio concepts that are published on Status Audio’s The Journal. You may have seen some of my self-produced videos on MajorHiFi’s YouTube channel as well.
As an audio engineer working out of small NYC apartments, my interest in headphones stemmed from a place of necessity. Once realizing a world beyond the Beyerdynamic DT-770, I opened Pandora's Box, and entered a hobby that has led me down a rabbit hole of auditory bliss and financially questionable decisions.
